Food Editor, Real Simple Magazine
As the print food editor for Real Simple, I developed seven themed and seasonal multi-page food spreads. I also pitched and developed the monthly Better For You column that featured a healthier twist on a beloved dish, and reported and edited monthly Things Cooks Know columns about practical and educational culinary topics for home cooks, including How to Freeze Everything, the most engaging Things Cooks Know column since 2017, according to reader surveys.
Recipe Developer & Photographer
I develop and photograph recipes featuring Annie Chun’s products for use on the company website and social media channels. I also write all social media content for the brand.
Contributor
I contribute product review articles, round-ups, and reports on food and cooking-related topics to The Chicago Tribune and its syndicates, including The Baltimore Sun and The New York Daily News.
Recipe Photography
I regularly contribute step-by-step and hero images to The Spruce Eats, a popular recipe and food website with over 243 million annual readers and 16,000 recipes. My photos include vegan grilled cheese, peach cake, egg drop soup, and more.
Plant-Based Meal Plan & Cookbook
I created a 21-day meat-reduction starter guide for World Animal Protection, an international non-profit for the protection of animals. The deliverable included a complete 21-day meal plan, diverse plant-based recipes, photography, layout and design, and science-backed content about the benefits of reducing meat consumption.
Recipe Development & Photography for Farm and Produce Delivery Company
I contribute regular recipes for Worthy Flavors, a Florida-based farm that delivers fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the Eastern part of the US. My recipes are available on their website and sent in weekly deliveries on handy recipe cards.
Kid-Friendly Recipe Book for Educational Company
I created a recipe book of kid-friendly recipes from Spanish-speaking countries for a Spanish language learning company. I tested and photographed the recipes and designed the ebook for publication.
Heart-Healthy Plant-Based Meal Planning Guide
I worked with leading Boston-based cardiologist Dr. Kim Parks and Kaitlyn Peters, RN, to develop the recipes and layout for a week-long meal guide. The goal is for Dr. Parks to help her patients get started with a heart-healthy, plant-based diet. I tested and developed 21 unique recipes, including ways for users to repurpose ingredients throughout the week to save time and food waste.
Litehouse Foods & Sky Valley
I developed a series of monthly recipes for the Litehouse Foods and Sky Valley websites featuring their high-quality dressings, dried herbs, and more. Each recipe was carefully planned for seasonality, to integrate with any promotions they were holding, and to compliment their existing recipe collection. I wrote a search engine-optimized blog post to accompany each recipe, highlighting the ingredients and cooking tips.

I contribute unique recipes to the VitaCost recipe blog each month that highlight seasonal produce and healthy products available in their online store.
Heart-healthy recipes with California Walnuts
I developed 10 unique recipes for California Walnuts. The recipes were part of their quick, easy and healthy snacks. All recipes had to be 5 ingredients or fewer, and several complied with the American Heart Association’s guidelines for “heart-healthy.” I provided the initial recipe concepts, as well as the final, tested recipes with detailed nutritional information.
